Marelli is seeking a Plant Quality Manager for the Toluca plant to lead the Quality GT team and report to the Toluca Plant Manager. This role is based at our Toluca facility and focuses on promoting a compliant quality system aligned with Customer requirements and IATF 16949 to improve Marelli competitiveness in automotive.

About the Position:

We are looking for aPlant Quality Manager to join the Quality GT team, reporting directly to the Toluca Plant Manager.

This position is based at our plant in Toluca.

As Toluca Plant Quality Manager you will Ensure promotion, and lead implementation and monitoring of a quality system compliant with Customers requirements and IATF 16949 in order to continuously improve Marelli competitiveness and leadership in the automotive industry.

Your Responsibilities will be:

• Ensure and support the application of Quality standard structures, job roles and skills at Plant and Shop Floor Level;
• Organize Quality Department activities in terms of planning and daily priorities;
• Define plans to implement and monitor the internal/external Quality indicators of the company at plant level;
• Analyze the KPI results and trends in order to define proper improvement action plans;
• Lead the improvement action plans to eradicate the product and process defects, through recovery plan, deviation management and risk assessment;
• Ensure the application of standard processes, tools, KPI's and related audits;
• Ensure the full integration/enhancement of plant Quality activities within the MMS system;
• Assess and certify the results of the recovery actions, through output measurement of KPI and Audit;
• Activate escalation process for critical issues and unsolved transversal problems;
• Ensure products compliance with Marelli Quality standards carrying out functional tests and Audits;
• Quality Budget definition and monitoring;
• Audit reporting and uploading on Marelli portal;
• Lead and ensure the definition and implementation of proper action plans to close the Audits, involving and coordinating all the right process.

What Qualifications you will bring:

Process Quality:

• Assure Manufacturing Process Audit plan definition and execution according to Marelli referring std;
• Ensure Quality monitoring and control of products and components, through capability analysis, product (in line / offline) tests and buy off inspections (control plan);
• Ensure Quality monitoring of production processes, through the analysis of equipment capacity, wastes, planned MANAGER MAINTENANCE, control plans;
• Support MANAGER MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING in the definition of needs in terms of measurement equipment and related MANAGER MAINTENANCE plans, production processes and control plans, as a consequence of the audit results;
• Lead and ensure the correct application of process methods and specifications, through the execution of process audits;
• Approve and assure periodical check and update of Control Plans for Quality controls to guarantee final product Quality;
• Promote the definition of methodologies and Labs Controls and Procedures, based on BU Guideline, and assure standard Labs test execution (especially metrology).

Customer & Field Quality Management:

• Customer relationship management as Plant Quality Customer Key Account, through improvement plans preparation and discussion in the operative Customer meetings;
• Support the management of Customer Non-Conformity issues (0-Km PPM), in terms of analysis, diagnosis and containment;
• Coordinate the analysis of Field Returned Parts analysis (2nd and 3rd level diagnosis when needed);
• Promote and support the internal organization on the Problem-Solving activities for each issues of plant responsibility;
• Ensure the availability of data and process information to complete the Claims investigation reports (8D Report);
• Assure the application of Recurrence Prevention process and Horizontal deployment for critical issues according to Marelli standard;
• Support SQA in the discussion with Suppliers about responsibility attribution on the incident occurred.

Other skills that we would welcome:

• Knowledge of IATF 16949 std and ISO 19001
• Good financial understanding
• 3 years’ experience in similar role / 5 years’ experience in MANAGER MANUFACTURING QUALITY
• 5 years leadership experience

Expectations from you in this position:

Promote and assure the implementation of Plant QMS structure and procedures, according to BU Quality System requirements and guidelines through the specific plant frame;

• Ensure availability of periodical Plant Quality reporting & database according to BU quality KPI system, with monitoring, tracking, analysis of results and promotion of recovery plans in case of deviations;
• Internal quality management system audit program coordination, through the execution and monitoring of internal System, Product and Process audits;
• Plant 3rd party IATF Audit support and Non-conformities Management.
