Summary Position

The Plant Manager will oversee all operations at our Netafim Reynosa, Mexico plant, ensuring efficient production, maintaining high quality standards, and fostering a safe and productive work environment. This role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in agriculture or manufacturing, capable of driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Job Functions
Operational Management
  • Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring compliance with production schedules.
  • Implement and monitor KPIs to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Develop and implement operating policies and procedures.
  • Promote lean manufacturing and best practices.
  • Manage interfaces with Mexican, American, and Central American markets and key corporate personnel.
  • Manage the plant's P&L.
  • Handle procurement of raw materials and packaging materials (dotted line to corporate).
Team Leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and develop management and plant personnel.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
Quality Assurance
  • Ensure products meet or exceed quality standards.
  • Maintain quality control systems.
  • Address quality issues with data-driven problem-solving.
  • Promote effective customer communication.
Safety and Compliance
  • Promote a safe work environment and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct safety audits and training.
  • Ensure environmental regulation compliance.
Financial Management
  • Develop and manage the plant budget.
  • Monitor and control operating costs.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Develop forecasts and projections.
Strategic Planning
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve plant performance.
  • Align plant operations with company objectives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends.
  • Focus on improving lead times through raw material and WIP management.
Customer Focus
  • Understand and meet customer expectations.
  • Train employees on customer service.
  • Proactively address potential issues.
  • Maintain transparency with customers.
  • Gather and act on customer feedback.
Competencies
  • Results delivery, change management, fostering learning, innovation, labor relations, and IMMEX practices knowledge.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related; MBA preferred.
  • At least 8 years of plant management experience in agriculture or manufacturing.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt, NOM-035, Lean Manufacturing, ISO 9001-2015 certifications.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Proficiency in office software.
  • Willingness to travel; valid visa and passport required.
