Summary of Position :

The Plant Manager oversees the daily operations of the Tijuana manufacturing plant and its employees. Duties include hiring and training manufacturing plant employees, reviewing production records to evaluate employee performance, and coordinating with corporate management to implement strategies, manage budgets, and enforce safety procedures.

Primary Responsibilities :

1. Plan, organize, direct, and oversee daily operations to exceed customer expectations.
2. Ensure production output, product quality, and on-time shipping.
3. Increase production capacity and flexibility while minimizing costs and maintaining quality standards.
4. Allocate resources effectively to optimize results.
5. Implement strategies aligned with company initiatives, providing clear direction.
6. Monitor operations and initiate corrective actions when needed.
7. Build a trusting relationship with the team, recruit, manage, and develop staff.
8. Analyze data to identify waste or overtime issues.
9. Maintain a strong commitment to plant safety procedures.
10. Develop systems to track and optimize productivity, standards, metrics, and performance targets.
11. Address employee issues and grievances; administer collective bargaining agreements.
12. Stay updated with the latest production management practices.

Minimum Requirements :

• 6+ years of proven experience as a plant or manufacturing manager in the medical industry.
• Visa holder, bilingual, with the ability to travel occasionally.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field.
• Proven managerial experience.
• Knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources).
• Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise.
• Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes.
• Computer literacy, including ERP systems.
• Ability to foster accountability and lead by example.
• Strong team-building, decision-making, and people management skills.
