Corning Incorporated seeks a senior operations leader to head Monterrey site, overseeing glass manufacturing, laboratory quality, and regional distribution. You will drive safety, quality, service, cost, and regulatory compliance across manufacturing, labs, and distribution. Required are a B.S.

or equivalent, 7+ years in manufacturing/engineering, and fluency in English and Spanish; an MBA is preferred. Office is Monterrey with a strong emphasis on cross-functional leadership and talent

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical degree.
  • 7+ years in manufacturing and engineering roles.
  • Experience leading departments or organizations in continuous improvement.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, MBA preferred.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead site operations for glass manufacturing, distribution, and support functions to meet safety, quality, delivery, cost objectives.
  • Develop and execute the site operating plan aligned with business strategy for labware manufacturing and distribution requirements in LATAM.
  • Ensure safe and compliant plant operation with emphasis on safety, process discipline, and environmental compliance.
  • Lead ISO/IEC 17025-certified laboratory activities and drive customer-focused performance.
  • Champion operational excellence, data-driven problem solving, and cross-functional teamwork to deliver improvements.
  • Build capabilities and succession planning; develop leaders and quality personnel.
  • Collaborate with commercial, supply chain, quality, regulatory, engineering, procurement, and corporate teams.

Descripción del empleo

Lead the Monterrey site as an integrated glass manufacturing, quality laboratory, and regional distribution center operation to achieve business, customer, regulatory, and corporate objectives in safety, quality, service, cost, compliance, and growth. Ensure robust execution of manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and laboratory quality systems, including sustained compliance with applicable ISO/IEC 17025 requirements, product quality standards, and all safety, health, environmental, customs, and trade obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead site operations for glass manufacturing, distribution, and support functions to meet safety, quality, delivery, cost objectives.
  • Develop and execute the site operating plan aligned with business strategy for glass labware manufacturing and Latin America distribution requirements.
  • Ensure safe and compliant plant operation, with strong emphasis on glass manufacturing hazards, contractor safety, process discipline, warehouse safety, environmental compliance, and risk reduction.
  • Ensure organizational support for ISO/IEC 17025-certified laboratory activities
  • Lead customer-focused performance, including complaint reduction, timely issue resolution, product quality improvement, and service reliability for regional customers and distributors.
  • Champion operational excellence, continuous improvement and innovation, using data-driven problem solving, lean manufacturing, process control, and cross-functional teamwork to deliver step-change improvements.
  • Build organizational capability and succession strength, ensuring development of leaders, technical talent, operators, and laboratory/quality personnel.
  • Build strong partnerships across commercial, supply chain, quality, regulatory, engineering, procurement, and corporate functions, and with key suppliers and customers as required.
  • Lead capital planning and execution for manufacturing, laboratory, infrastructure, and distribution improvements, ensuring technical rigor, business justification, and effective implementation.
  • Foster a culture aligned with Corning Values, accountability, compliance, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • B.S. or equivalent technical degree
  • 7 or more years of progressive responsibilities in manufacturing and engineering roles in plants and divisions
  • Experience in leading departments or organizations in meeting continuous improvement goals, step change performance improvements, innovation, expanding technical capability, work redesign or other change efforts
  • Experience building and managing a cohesive staff and establishing collaborative relationships across functional areas
  • Demonstrated track record of growing and placing talent
  • Fluent English and Spanish
  • M.B.A. or equivalent business degree
  • Experience in multiple businesses, divisions, technologies
  • Experience in leading or being a member of projects and teams.
  • Experience to adapt to a variety of employee relations environments
