Core Molding Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Plant Director to lead all aspects of plant operations, driving performance across manufacturing, engineering, quality, safety, delivery, and customer satisfaction.

This role has full accountability for plant performance, including P&L ownership, operational execution, and team leadership. The Plant Director partners with site and corporate leadership to deliver results, build a strong culture, and establish a high-performing, world-class

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years as Plant Manager or Plant Director in high-volume manufacturing.
  • Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing, process controls, and quality systems (IATF 16949 / TS 16949).
  • Experience with root cause analysis, Six Sigma, 8D, and structured problem-solving tools.
  • Demonstrated engineering and manufacturing process knowledge.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing plant-level P&L.
  • Proven track record improving safety performance and operational results.
  • Experience working with OEM customers and customer-facing programs.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
  • Solid understanding of EHS regulations and compliance requirements.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead all plant operations, including manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, and safety.
  • Own plant P&L performance, driving profitability, cost control, and operational efficiency.
  • Establish and execute strategies to achieve targets in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Lead and develop the plant leadership team; establish performance goals and ensure accountability for results.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
  • Ensure strong process discipline and adherence to quality and operational standards.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet production and business objectives.
  • Monitor plant performance through KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Partner with customers, suppliers, and corporate leadership to support business growth and new program launches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all plant operations, including manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, and safety
  • Ownplant P&L performance, driving profitability, cost control, and operational efficiency

  • Lead and develop the plant leadership team; establish performance goals and ensure accountability for results
  • DriveLean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives across the site
  • Ensure strong process discipline and adherence to quality and operational standards

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience as a Plant Manager or Plant Director in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Strong expertise inLean Manufacturing, process controls, and quality systems, including IATF 16949 / TS 16949

Full-time, Monday through Friday. Extended hours and weekend work may be required based on business needs.

This role operates in a manufacturing office and shop floor environment.
