Job summary

IFF in Mexico City (Azcapotzalco) seeks a Cost Analyst to partner with Plant Managers, drive cost efficiency and provide insights into production cost development. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, standard costing governance, and cross-functional collaboration across plants in a dynamic, manufacturing environment. Hybrid work arrangement available.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in cost analysis and strong ERP (SAP) experience, with solid English skills and a detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• More than 3 years of relevant experience in cost analysis or financial planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Intermediate English proficiency, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Familiarity with standard costing and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
• Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with plant leadership.
• Understanding of internal controls and compliance requirements.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as a financial partner to Plant Managers, providing insights into operational performance and cost efficiency.
• Analyze product cost development, unit cost trends, and productivity metrics to support decision-making.
• Coordinate the annual budgeting process at the plant level, focusing on cost, capacity, and product impact.
• Maintain and improve standard costing templates, including governance of material master data.
• Lead monthly production cost variance forecasting in collaboration with plant leadership.
• Ensure strong Standard Costing template with Governance of Material Master etc.
• Coordinate monthly production cost variance forecast by working closely with the Plant Manager and local leadership.
• Prepare monthly plant reports using global tools and plant-specific analysis.
• Support Integrated Operations initiatives and help plants meet productivity targets.
• Participate in global projects related to process and IT improvements within the Plant Cost Analysis organization.
