Una empresa líder en manufactura busca un planificador de materiales para programar y comprar materiales que satisfagan los requisitos del cliente, mejorando tanto la entrega a tiempo como la reducción de costos a través de herramientas Lean y JIT/Kanban. Se valorará la experiencia en el sector de Maquiladoras Metal Mecánica y la fluidez en español e inglés es esencial.

Formación

• Experiencia de 3-5 años en planificación de materiales o compras.
• Experiencia en entornos JIT/Kanban y manufactura celular.
• Organizado, capaz de gestionar múltiples tareas.

Responsabilidades

• Implementar y mejorar el sistema Kanban en áreas específicas.
• Reducir costos y mantener un inventario adecuado.
• Coordinar con proveedores externos y operaciones internas.

PURPOSE OF POSITION

To schedule and purchase materials and production components to meet customer requirements while maximizing value and minimizing total cost through utilization of JIT/Kanban and other lean manufacturing/RBS tools.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Along with the responsibilities listed below, other duties may be assigned:

• Implement, sustain, and improve the Kanban system for specific areas in the business unit and contribute to inventory accuracy.
• Minimize material stock-outs by applying problem-solving processes (PSP).
• Contribute to achieving >95% On-Time Delivery (OTD) per Fortive metrics.
• Procure MRO and production supplies as needed.
• Place purchase orders for materials and confirm delivery with suppliers; expedite materials as necessary.
• Lead lean materials process improvement initiatives.
• Drive inventory reduction and cost savings through RBS tools and supplier negotiations.
• Coordinate schedules with outside suppliers and internal operations.
• Work closely with internal customers to prioritize production schedules and backlog.
• Monitor Kanban and Spike orders; resize (recalculate bins) according to current demand patterns.
• Participate actively in inventory reduction and cost-saving projects.
• Resolve invoice matching issues with Accounts Payable.
• Support customer service, product managers, quality, and engineering as required.
• Participate in daily order review meetings with operations.
• Participate in daily management meetings with operations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in production, material planning, scheduling, or purchasing.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Experience in JIT/Kanban environments and cellular manufacturing.
• Experience in Maquiladoras Metal Mechanical is desirable.
• Highly organized with multitasking ability.
• Intermediate to high proficiency in Excel.
• Ability to analyze data, develop strategic plans, and execute tactically.
• Experience with Oracle system is desirable.
