TE Connectivity Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Planner to lead production planning, scheduling, and inventory control. You will partner with production, supply chain, purchasing, and quality teams to ensure on-time deliveries while optimizing inventory and costs.

The role focuses on accurate planning, proactive issue resolution, and the use of planning tools to drive continuous improvement in a matrix, multicultural environment.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years in MRP, Production Planning, Supply Chain or Manufacturing Operations.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on SAP experience or similar ERP systems.

Responsabilidades

  • Develop and maintain production schedules and plans using SAP.
  • Create, release, and manage production orders based on demand and capacity.
  • Collaborate with production teams to optimize inventory and costs.
  • Monitor daily production performance and deviations from plan.
  • Manage MRP exception messages and ensure timely actions.
  • Maintain inventory to support operations and maximize turns.
  • Resolve issues causing late deliveries or shortages.
  • Provide availability data and confirmations to Customer Service.

Job Overview

The Manufacturing Planner is responsible for production planning, scheduling, inventory control, and material flow management within a designated manufacturing area. This role ensures the availability of materials and production capacity to support on-time customer deliveries while optimizing inventory levels and manufacturing costs.

The Manufacturing Planner works closely with Production, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Customer Service, Quality, and Engineering teams to maintain an efficient production flow, support business objectives, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The role plays a critical part in meeting customer expectations by ensuring accurate planning, proactive issue resolution, and effective use of planning tools and systems.

What your background should look like
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Equivalent combination of education and professional experience will be considered.
  • Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Production Planning, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, or a related field.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience using SAP or similar ERP systems.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain production schedules and manufacturing plans using SAP.
  • Create, release, and manage production orders based on customer demand, material availability, and production capacity.
  • Partner with production teams to develop production plans that meet customer requirements while optimizing inventory and manufacturing costs.
  • Monitor daily production performance and identify deviations from planned schedules.
  • Manage MRP exception messages and ensure timely execution of required actions.
  • Maintain inventory levels to support operational requirements while maximizing inventory turns.
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to late deliveries, production delays, and inventory shortages.
  • Provide finished goods availability information and order confirmations to Customer Service teams.
  • Review and manage equipment and labor capacities to ensure accurate planning assumptions.
  • Participate in production review meetings and provide planning recommendations.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and Tactical Buyers to ensure material availability and mitigate supply risks.
  • Support inventory management initiatives, supplier collaboration programs, and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Work closely with Quality teams to ensure timely release of finished goods and coordinate rework activities when required.
  • Identify and escalation BOM, routing, or system data issues and follow through to resolution.
  • Support audits, quality systems, and new product introduction (NPI) activities.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning and supply chain performance metrics.
  • Prepare and maintain planning reports, performance analyses, and operational documentation.
  • Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Master Production Scheduling (MPS) activities as required.
