Formación

  • Experiencia previa en gestión de la cadena de suministro y planificación de la demanda.
  • Conocimientos en sistemas de programación y control de producción.

Primary Purpose Of The Position

  • Oversee and control the Master Planning of the plant (Ticket Planning) per Akron's requirements, having a direct link to Consumer BC and Component Prep BC, schedule and align as needed.
  • Lead the planning process for applying flow principles to plan the plant as close to the customer demand as possible. Creates a functional plan for plant execution that effectively meets production planning requirements.
  • Coordinate the Process Flows Specialists responsible for the WIP buffer management to support flow. Monitor performance against target KPIs and drive initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Work to support and achieve consistency of standard work for flow and scheduling process for planning inter-plant sourcing and coordination of schedule with external providers/3PLs to execute production plan.
  • Responsible for mold planning aligned with the internal supply chain.
  • Link between the region's supply chain team and the SLP plant; for OE and replacement demand management.
  • Monitor & Create actions to ensure Adherence Level - KPI.
  • Drive Balance OFF / ON schedule per ticket requirements and manage on a daily basis the master planning across the plant, monitoring GT inventory level to optimize schedule.
Principle Duties And Responsibilities
  • Develop the ticket, an execution plan for shop floor starting from region's demand requirements; supporting internal/external areas, establish daily production schedule for building machines and monitor accordingly; as well as mold planning.
  • Frequent review and determination of the Min - Max level on PSMS Sys ensuring proper levels accounting for the optimum DOR & physical infrastructure.
  • Manage and plan for supply changes with the required functions for execution of new product development and industrialization on a daily bases.
  • Support Monthly / End year physical inventories & its analysis.
  • Participate in high quality analysis of plant operations to identify improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a high degree of process knowledge, machinery and constrains across the plant in order to be a production control expert and provide accurate availability information.
  • Manage weekly cavity schedule, daily schedule and Ticket changes.
  • Work closely with item Level Planner to schedule production and align weekly ticket.
  • Manage and follow up the demand for OE, achieving the stipulated DOH and customer satisfaction.
  • Generate master production schedule scenarios to ensure inventory availability to promote continuous flow within the manufacturing process.
  • Manage engineering changes from the planning process managin the internal supply chain.
  • Cavity Schedule data base accuracy.
  • Request the Item Level Planner from Akron's office the OE and/or replacement codes production that are needed to avoid raw materials expiration.
Education
  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
Experience
  • Previous experience in Supply Chain Management, Production Scheduling y Control, Operations Management, Inventory Management or related field. Plant/manufacturing experience preferred.
  • 3+ years experience in supply chain management / Demand planning field.
  • Preferred experience/skills within an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • MPS & Detailed planning experience.
  • Production Scheduling and Monitoring System (PSMS), or similar system familiarity (desirable).
  • Knowledge of elements that make up the plant material flow.
  • Knowledge of tire technology a plus.
  • Continual learner as evidenced by the application of knowledge gained through additional education, experiences and/or training.
  • Experience in cross functional assignment or project work.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Understanding of product delivery systems, including traditional Scheduling systems, Kanban systems, Sequencing Heijunka, Bus Route’s and Supermarket systems.
  • Strong computer skills necessary for plant Scheduling management.
  • Possess Strong communication, business, technical, analytical and planning skills.
  • Ability to guide, mentor and train others.
  • Ability to direct internal work groups to achieve goals and objectives with a Strong Ability to manage by influence within an organization to accomplish these goals.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team building skills.
  • Intermediate English skills.
