Magna International in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, is seeking a Materials Planner to ensure steel availability and maintain production continuity through careful planning, inventory management, and supplier coordination.

The role requires 3–6 years in materials planning or logistics, a degree in Industrial Engineering or related field, and advanced English. You will work with SAP, PFEP, and EDI to meet production schedules and drive continuous improvement.

Formación

• 3–6 years of experience in materials planning, logistics or similar roles.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Strong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilidades

• Plan steel requirements using SAP and PFEP.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to ensure continuous supply.
• Generate and issue releases to suppliers on time.
• Track supplier and material deliveries in transit.
• Ensure inventory accuracy within SAP.
• Coordinate supply chain activities to meet production plans.
• Participate in continuous improvement, quality, safety and environment initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

Objetivo del puesto: Garantizar la disponibilidad de materia prima (aceros) para asegurar la continuidad del programa de producción, mediante una adecuada planeación y programación de materiales, monitoreo de inventarios, seguimiento a proveedores y gestión logística, asegurando entregas en tiempo y forma para cumplir con los requerimientos del cliente interno.

• Realizar la planeación de aceros de acuerdo con los requerimientos de producción mediante SAP y PFEP.
• Mantener niveles óptimos de inventario para garantizar el suministro continuo de materiales.
• Generar y enviar releases a proveedores en tiempo y forma.
• Dar seguimiento a entregas de proveedores y materiales en tránsito.
• Asegurar la confiabilidad y exactitud de inventarios dentro del sistema SAP.
• Coordinar actividades relacionadas con la cadena de suministro para garantizar el cumplimiento del plan de producción.
• Participar activamente en iniciativas de mejora continua, calidad, seguridad y medio ambiente.

Conocimientos requeridos

• SAP (planeación y control de materiales)
• MRP, BOM, APL y PFEP
• Excel Intermedio-Avanzado
• Cadena de suministro y logística
• EDI y emisión de releases (862 y 830)
• Manejo y control de inventarios
• KPIs logísticos (Delivery, cumplimiento de ventanas, entre otros)
• Planeación de materiales con lead times prolongados
• Conocimiento de programas de acero RESALE y ERMA
• Normatividad CTPAT e IATF

Experiencia requerida

De 3 a 6 años de experiencia en planeación de materiales, logística, cadena de suministro o puestos similares dentro de la industria manufacturera.

Escolaridad

Ingeniería Industrial, Ingeniería en Gestión Empresarial o carrera afín.(Titulado)

Idiomas

Inglés avanzado conversacional.
