Job summary

SSOE Group is seeking a Mid-level Mechanical Design Engineer to design and document cutting-edge industrial facilities. You will develop Revit models for mechanical systems and collaborate with engineers, managers, and disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.

Responsibilities include BIM coordination, drafting construction documents, and leading piping & HVAC design activities while ensuring adherence to project standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience as Piping Designer/Engineer or similar role.
• Proficient in Revit; knowledge of AutoCAD and piping analysis tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Produce technical project plans, drawings, and models aligning with requirements.
• Create and maintain Revit models for mechanical systems within BIM.
• Produce construction documents and system diagrams meeting standards.
• Participate in BIM coordination and clash detection with Navisworks.
• Maintain BIM quality and adhere to execution plans and standards.

We are seeking Mid-level Mechanical Design Engineers to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will engage in the design process of cutting-edge industrial and high‑tech manufacturing facilities for some of the world's leading high‑tech enterprises. As a Mechanical Engineer at SSOE, you will collaborate with engineering designers, engineering teams, and Senior Project Managers to develop innovative solutions for intricate and challenging designs, incorporating the latest design methodologies while ensuring adherence to specifications and timely project completion.

Responsibilities

• Produce comprehensive technical project plans, specifications, drawings, and models aligning with project requirements and client expectations.
• Create and maintain Revit models for mechanical systems, ensuring accurate, piping, plumbing, exhaust, and associated mechanical components within the building information model.
• Utilize Revit to produce construction documents, mechanical plans, equipment schedules, and system diagrams that meet project requirements and client standards.
• Participate in BIM coordination efforts, including multi‑discipline clash detection and resolution using tools such as Navisworks, collaborating with Electrical, Structural, Architectural, and other discipline teams to ensure design integrity.
• Maintain BIM model quality and consistency by adhering to project BIM execution plans, company Revit standards, and established modeling best practices.
• Lead the creation, refinement, and finalization of designs encompassing industrial and domestic piping, plumbing, HVAC ducting, chillers, boilers, exhaust systems, motor control, process chemicals, fire protection, and potentially other mechanical building systems.
• Apply established design techniques, exercising judgment to adapt and modify design concepts while ensuring compliance with company and team Revit and CAD standards for quality control.
• Collaborate closely with design teams, Engineers, Project Managers, and stakeholders to address specific objectives, complex features, and propose viable solutions to unique challenges.

Qualifications

What You Will Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or any related field.
• 2 – 5 years of experience as Piping Designer, Piping Engineer or Project Piping Engineer or any related role with similar responsibilities.
• Demonstrated experience in Revit is required, with experience in mechanical modeling, documentation, and BIM coordination workflows.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is preferred. Experience with other tools such as PIPE‑FLO or other similar mechanical analysis tools is a plus.
• Strong communication skills enabling effective collaboration and clear client interaction during design reviews and RFIs.
• The ability to communicate digitally, verbally and in writing with local and international team members – fluency in English is required.
