We're looking for a PHP Developer with Laravel experience to join our development team. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of scalable software architecture, and the ability to work in an Agile/SCRUM environment. You'll be working with a modern stack, including Laravel Forge, MySQL, Redis, Tailwind, and Vue.js, deploying on Akamai Cloud with GitHub version control.

Responsibilities

Develop & Maintain Laravel-Based Applications

• Build and optimize backend services using Laravel.
• Work with Laravel Forge for deployment & server management.
• Integrate MySQL & Redis for scalable data handling.
• Implement background jobs & queue workers for performance.

Enhance Frontend Functionality

• Use Laravel Blade templates for rendering views.
• Work with Tailwind CSS, DataTables, and JQuery to refine UI.

Ensure Code Quality & Best Practices

• Follow SCRUM/Agile methodologies with bi-weekly sprints.
• Maintain GitHub repositories with proper branching & versioning.
• Develop & refine unit testing strategies (TDD experience is a plus).

Improve Security & Performance

• Ensure secure authentication (hashed user data through Laravel).
• Monitor application performance with New Relic & Sentry.io.
• Implement API security best practices & protect against vulnerabilities.

Collaborate & Communicate Effectively

• Participate in code reviews, daily stand-ups, and sprint planning.
• Work with Jira for backlog management & issue tracking.
• Communicate effectively with team members via Slack, Trello, and Google Suite.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience Level: Mid to Senior-Level PHP Developer (3+ years)
Core Technologies: PHP, Laravel, MySQL, Redis, REST APIs
Frontend Experience: Blade templates, Tailwind, DataTables, JQuery (Vue.js is a plus)
Deployment & Infrastructure: Laravel Forge, Akamai Cloud, GitHub CI/CD
Monitoring & Debugging: Sentry.io, New Relic, Cloudflare
Development Practices: Agile/SCRUM, Jira, Unit Testing, Code Documentation
Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, ability to work independently, problem-solving mindset

Nice-to-Have Skills (Bonus Points!)

• Experience with Laravel Octane for performance optimization.
• Knowledge of Vue.js for frontend enhancements.
• Experience implementing automated testing in Laravel.
• Familiarity with carrier API integrations (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS).
