Job summary

Cummins Latin America seeks a Payroll Analyst to join the Payroll team for Cummins Services – HR Operations at Cummins Comercializadora in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. The role is hybrid, with 3 days on-site and 2 days remote, supporting on-cycle and off-cycle payroll processing.

You will run payroll simulations, perform data entry for non-interface inputs and validate pay related to leaves and tax withholdings. We value accuracy, process improvement, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of progressive payroll experience for a US multi-state employer with at least 5,000 employees.
• 1+ year experience using SAP Payroll or ADP GlobalView (Processing Services model).
• Knowledge of federal, state and local payroll tax rules across jurisdictions.
• Experience using case management systems like Service Now is preferred.
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and data accuracy mindset.

Responsibilities

• Run and review payroll simulations for on-cycle and off-cycle runs.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and accuracy.
• Enter inputs not provided via interfaces (garnishments, tax adjustments, special payments).
• Coordinate pay for leaves with external government or benefits programs.
• Perform pre- and post-payroll validations to ensure accuracy.
• Escalate and explain pay calculations, tax withholding and adjustments impacting net pay.
• Document cases with clear, concise notes for future reference.

We are looking for a talented Payroll Analyst to join our Payroll team for Cummins Services – HR Operations at Cummins Comercializadora in San Luis Potosí, SLP, Mexico.

Work Modality: Hybrid, 3 days on site, 2 days home office.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Run and/or review payroll simulations to ensure expected results for on cycle and off cycle payroll runs
• Identifies opportunities to improve payroll processes and accuracy.
• Perform data entry for inputs that aren't received through time and HR system interfaces (garnishments, tax adjustments, special payments or deductions)
• Perform calculations to ensure accurate coordination of pay for leaves that have part of payment paid by external government or benefits programs
• Perform pre and post payroll validations to account for variances and quality of employee payments
• Manage escalation of Answers queries and explain pay calculations, tax witholding and other adjustments that conclude in net pay
• Document cases answered using comments that are clear and concise to provide

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

• Minimum 3-5 years of progressive payroll experience for a US multi-state employer with at least 5,000 employees.
• Minimum 1 year experience using SAP Payroll system or ADP GlobalView (Processing Services model).
• Able to demonstrate knowledge of work rules and tax requirements across Federal, State and Local jurisdictions.
• Experience using Service Now or other case management system preferred.
• Highly organized, collaborative, and customer-focused in fast-paced environments.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and PivotTables.
• Advanced English Level
