Job summary

Cummins Inc. in San Luis Potosí, Mexico seeks a Payroll Analyst to join the HR Operations Payroll team. Hybrid work model: 3 days on-site, 2 days home office. You will run payroll simulations, validate pay, and address inquiries to ensure accurate net pay.

Required: 3–5 years payroll experience for a US multi-state employer, SAP or ADP, strong Excel and English skills. Preference for French Canadian language.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive payroll experience for a US multi-state employer with 5,000+ employees.
• 1 year experience with SAP Payroll or ADP GlobalView (Processing Services).
• Knowledge of work rules and tax requirements across Federal, State, and Local jurisdictions.
• Experience using Service Now or other case management system preferred.
• Highly organized, collaborative, and customer-focused in fast-paced environments.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and PivotTables.
• Advanced English level.

Responsibilities

• Run and/or review payroll simulations for on-cycle and off-cycle payroll runs.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and accuracy.
• Data entry for inputs not received via time and HR system interfaces (garnishments, tax adjustments, special payments/deductions).
• Calculate and coordinate pay for leaves with external government or benefits programs.
• Perform pre- and post-payroll validations to account for variances and ensure payment quality.
• Escalate Answers queries and explain pay calculations, tax withholding, and adjustments affecting net pay.
• Document cases with clear, concise comments.

We are looking for a talented Payroll Analyst to join our Payroll team for Cummins Services – HR Operations at Cummins Comercializadora in San Luis Potosí, SLP, Mexico.

Work Modality: Hybrid, 3 days o site, 2 days home office.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Run and/or review payroll simulations to ensure expected results for on cycle and off cycle payroll runs
• Identifies opportunities to improve payroll processes and accuracy.
• Perform data entry for inputs that aren't received through time and HR system interfaces (garnishments, tax adjustments, special payments or deductions)
• Perform calculations to ensure accurate coordination of pay for leaves that have part of payment paid by external government or benefits programs
• Perform pre and post payroll validations to account for variances and quality of employee payments
• Manage escalation of Answers queries and explain pay calculations, tax witholding and other adjustments that conclude in net pay
• Document cases answered using comments that are clear and concise to provide

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

• Minimum 3-5 years of progressive payroll experience for a US multi-state employer with at least 5,000 employees.
• Minimum 1 year experience using SAP Payroll system or ADP GlobalView (Processing Services model).
• Able to demonstrate knowledge of work rules and tax requirements across Federal, State and Local jurisdictions.
• Experience using Service Now or other case management system preferred.
• Highly organized, collaborative, and customer-focused in fast-paced environments.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and PivotTables.
• Advanced English Level
