Weidmann Electrical Technology in Saltillo, Mexico, is seeking a Payroll Accountant to ensure accurate, timely payroll processing and compliant accounting activities. The role supports financial reporting and decision-making with reliable payroll data.

The ideal candidate has a Public Accounting degree and 3–5 years of payroll and labor accounting experience, with strong knowledge of Mexican payroll laws and international tools. On-site position with competitive compensation and benefits.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting or related field.
• 3–5 years payroll processing and labor accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican labor laws and ISR.
• Experience with listed payroll systems (APSI, NOI, Nomipaq, TRESS, Meta4, Workday).
• Technical English proficiency preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Manage payroll records, reconciliations, and payroll-related accounts.
• Calculate and record monthly provisions.
• Prepare severance checks.
• Determine payroll taxes (ISN, IMSS, INFONAVIT) and payroll accruals.
• Stamp CFDI payroll and integrate stamped vs paid.
• Assign bank cards and food vouchers.
• Report movements and liaise with IMSS/INFONAVIT.
• Monitor IMSS risk premium annually.
• Handle work risk, illness, and maternity incapacities.
• Assist actuarial studies for IMSS reporting.

The role…

Ensure the accurate, timely, and compliant execution of payroll accounting processes, including payroll records, reconciliations, provisions, tax and social security obligations, and payroll-related accounting activities. The position is responsible for maintaining the integrity of payroll and accounting information, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and providing reliable information to support financial reporting and business decision-making.

How You’ll Make An Impact…

• Payroll accounting records, reconcilliation and investigation of payroll-related accounts.
• Monthly calculation and recording of nominal provisions.
• Preparation of severance checks.
• Determination of payroll-related taxes (ISN, IMSS e INFONAVIT). Payroll accrual reconciliations.
• CFDI payroll stamping and integration of stamped vs paid.
• Assignment of bank cards and food vouchers.
• Presentation of movements such as registrations, terminations and salary modifications to the IMSS, as well as their follow-up in the corresponding departments on issues related to IMSS and INFONAVIT and provide effective solutions to be in complience with them.
• Determination os IMSS risk premium annually.
• Control and monitoring of incapacities received due to work risk, generall illness and maternity.
• Attention and response to the information required for the correct presentation of the Opinion to the IMSS, Managament of the actuarial study process, ensuring its complete execution.

What Do You Bring…

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting, Finance, or a related field (degree completed).
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in payroll processing and labor accounting.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican labor legislation, income tax (ISR) on salaries, Social Security Law (LSS), Federal Labor Law (LFT), IMSS, INFONAVIT, and CFDI payroll stamping.
• Proficiency in payroll systems such as APSI, NOI, Nomipaq, TRESS, Meta4, or Workday, as well as accounting systems such as SAP, CONTPAQi, or similar platforms.
• Experience managing payroll for different types of employment contracts, including temporary, unionized, and salaried/confidential employees.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with employees, supervisors, auditors, and government authorities.
• Strong writing skills for preparing reports, employment letters, and official documentation.
• Ability to explain payroll calculations, deductions, and taxes to employees without specialized knowledge.
• Technical English proficiency is preferred, particularly for reading reports, interacting with foreign corporate teams, or using international tools. Proficiency in spoken and written English is highly desirable.
• High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
