ZKW in Silao, Mexico is seeking a Packaging Engineer to manage materials packaging across Injection Molding, HC, Metallized and Assembly. You will develop packaging concepts, run tests, and drive cost-efficient solutions in collaboration with production teams.

Formación

• Two to three years of packaging experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in automotive packaging is preferred.
• Strong collaboration with production and engineering teams.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out packaging tests (drop tests, transport tests, packaging impact on product quality).
• Create packaging instructions and develop packaging concepts.
• Cooperate with production teams on packaging development.
• Search and communicate with suppliers.
• Manage packaging data: suppliers, dimensions, materials, price.
• Approach for design at cost and design to production.
• Coordinate, inspect and approve packaging proposals for purchased parts.
• Procure internal and external packaging per project milestones.
• Calculate packaging requirements for budget planning.
• Plan and monitor CAPEX.
• Run packaging simulations in PackAssistant.
• Conduct packaging validations with projects, engineering, quality.

Responsibility

• Carry out efficient activities in relation to the packaging of materials in the areas of Injection Molding, HC, Metallized and Assembly.
• Carry out alternating packages of the part numbers requested by personnel from the areas of Injection Molding, HC, Metallized and Assembly.

Tasks

• Packing tests (drop tests, transport tests, packaging impact on product quality).
• Creation of packaging instructions.
• Cooperation with production teams and projects in terms of packaging development.
• Search and communication of suppliers.
• Packaging data management: suppliers, dimensions, material, price.
• Approach for "Design at cost" and "Design to production".
• Coordination, inspection and approval of the packaging proposal of the purchased parts
• Punctual purchase of the internal and external packaging according to the project milestones.
• Calculation of packaging required for budget planning.
• Planning and monitoring of CAPEX.
• Packaging simulations in PackAssistant.
• Packaging validations (physical validation of the packaging proposal with projects, engineering, quality).

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

• University degree in industrial engineering, logistics or related.
• Work experience 2-3 years in similar position.
• Experience in Packaging.
• Experience in automotive industry.
