Job summary

ZKW, a leading premium automotive lighting and electronics supplier, is seeking an Injection Mold Engineer in Silao. The role focuses on manufacturability of plastic components and optimization of injection molding processes to support development teams.

You will lead process improvements, collaborate across groups during simultaneous engineering, and ensure cost-effective, high-quality production. A technical degree and 8–10 years of experience are expected, with English at B2 level or above.

Qualifications

• University degree in a technical field (plastic, material, mechanical, automation) required.
• 8–10 years of professional experience in related areas.
• Strong knowledge of injection molding and plastics manufacturing.
• Knowledge of DFM and interpretation of injection molding simulations.
• English level B2 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Represent production in product development, ensuring manufacturability of plastic components.
• Lead and provide technical feedback on injection molding processes.
• Define and optimize manufacturing processes for cost-effective, high-quality production.
• Pass on process know-how and support process planning in plastics.
• Fulfill tasks from supervisor by the defined date.

Main Goal

Main responsible for lead, asses and provide technical feedback to development team, in regards of manufacturability of plastic components and their injection molding manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Group-wide representation of production in the product development pro-cess, definition and cooperation in the integration of production processes in production in participation in the “simultaneous engineering” – process
• Main responsible for lead, asses and provide technical feedback to develop-ment team, in regards of manufacturability of plastic components and their injection molding manufacturing process.
• Definition and ongoing optimization of the manufacturing processes, consid-ering the existing and required resources to ensure cost-effective, high-qual-ity product manufacture
• Process know-how carrier: process development/series support & process planning in the field of plastics
• Fulfillment of the tasks and instructions given by the superior in the specified date

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

• University degree, preferably technical degree (plastic or material engineering, mechanical engineering, automation / mechatronics, electrical engineering, etc.).
• 8-10 years of professional experience in similar areas.
• Well-founded knowledge of manufacturing technology (injection molding & plastic raw part manufacturing).
• Knowledge of Injection molding processes, preferably automotive lightning.
• Knowledge of DFM and injection molding simulation interpretation.
• Knowledge of English - level B2.
