Marelli is seeking a Packaging Engineer to join the Logistics-Lighting team in Juarez, Chihuahua. You will design, develop, and validate packaging for products, ensuring specifications and standards are met while coordinating testing and cost-reduction initiatives.

You will collaborate across functions—Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Customer Service—to optimize packaging and logistics performance, drive improvements, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Packaging Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years in packaging engineering, logistics, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of packaging materials, returnable containers, and transportation requirements.
• Experience with warehousing, inventory control, shipping, and logistics processes.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis; English proficiency (intermediate to advanced).

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and validate packaging solutions for new and existing products.
• Create and maintain packaging specifications, standards, and work instructions.
• Coordinate packaging, transportation, and storage validation testing; identify and implement cost reduction opportunities related to packaging materials and processes.
• Manage returnable and expendable packaging inventories.
• Support logistics operations, including shipping, warehousing, and transportation activities.
• Analyze and optimize material flow, storage utilization, and distribution processes.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Customer Service teams; lead continuous improvement projects focused on packaging efficiency and logistics performance.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, safety regulations, and quality standards; monitor packaging and logistics KPIs and drive corrective actions when needed.
