Job Responsibilities:
- Define packaging concepts and monitor packaging development projects for new product launches, ensuring compliance with technical, operational, and logistical requirements.
- Implement improvements in existing packaging with a focus on cost optimization, quality enhancement, and process efficiency.
- Lead or support continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives in collaboration with manufacturing and logistics teams to maximize resource utilization and process productivity through packaging solutions.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive packaging documentation, including Packaging Data Sheets (PDS), repacking instructions, customer-specific formats, and customer portal management when required.
- Conduct or support packaging validation and testing to ensure product protection and integrity throughout the supply chain.
- Request and coordinate packaging design and development with suppliers, in accordance with customer agreements, guidelines, and established standards.
- Manage the packaging budget for new projects, ensuring cost control and alignment with company objectives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in packaging engineering, preferably within the automotive, manufacturing, or logistics industries.
- Proven experience in managing packaging development projects from concept to implementation.
- Experience with customer and supplier interface, technical negotiations, and cost management.
