Amentum seeks an HVAC Refrigeration Mechanic to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role leads and participates in installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC/refrigeration systems, ensuring work is performed safely and to specifications.

You will provide hands-on technical leadership, coordinate schedules, and mentor HVAC personnel while supporting project delivery in a remote overseas location. Strong English skills and travel readiness are required.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years HVAC/refrigeration experience.
• Experience leading HVAC personnel preferred.
• Experience working with commercial, industrial, military, government, or other complex HVAC systems preferred.
• HVAC/RAC certifications or equivalent demonstrated competency.

Responsabilidades

• Lead HVAC crews in installation, maintenance, repair, modification, overhaul, and servicing of HVAC systems and equipment.
• Coordinate daily HVAC activities and allocate personnel based on workload and skills.
• Ensure work complies with blueprints, manufacturer specs, codes, safety requirements, and instructions.
• Provide technical direction to HVAC technicians and analyze performance trends.
• Develop schedules to ensure proper staffing and timely completion of work.
• Monitor progress and communicate status and resource needs to management.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs for HVAC systems and equipment.
• Train and mentor HVAC personnel in maintenance, troubleshooting, and safe work practices.
• Maintain records and documentation for inspections and work orders.
• Promote and enforce safe work practices and hazard controls.
