Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with the following qualifications and responsibilities:

1. Minimum Education: At least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
2. Experience: Operating a production environment at high scale with a focus on availability, latency, and customer experience.
3. Technical Skills: Over 5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle database technology stack including RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and Backups.
4. Preferred Experience: Working with Exadata Database Machine Infrastructure.
5. Analytical Skills: Strong ability to identify problems and determine root causes.
6. Problem Solving: Systematic approach with a strong sense of ownership and drive.
7. System Knowledge: Good understanding of operating large-scale distributed systems.
8. Scripting Skills: Proficiency in Shell and Python scripting.
9. DevOps & Cloud: Experience with DevOps tools, CI/CD practices, and cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
10. Linux Systems: Experience in building and managing Linux OS and understanding Linux kernel components.
11. Virtualization & Containers: Experience with KVM, OVM, Docker, and understanding source code related to virtualization technologies.

Responsibilities

1. Design, architect, and operate large-scale distributed database cloud services.
2. Conduct research and develop prototypes for Oracle Database Cloud services.
3. Develop monitoring infrastructure criteria for cloud services.
4. Resolve complex problems and automate processes to prevent recurrence.
5. Participate in capacity planning, demand forecasting, performance analysis, and system tuning.
6. Engage in on-call support as part of the team.
