Job summary

Wipro is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to administer, maintain, and optimize Oracle database environments in Mexico. The role covers installations, upgrades, migrations, and high-availability configurations, with a focus on security, automation, and production support.

The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of relevant experience and will provide 24x7 support for critical databases and services in a dynamic digital transformation environment.

Qualifications

• Oracle Database Administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, maintain, and upgrade Oracle database platforms.
• Support Oracle RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate, RMAN, and high-availability solutions.
• Execute database migrations, platform refreshes, and version upgrades.
• Perform backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery activities.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, storage utilization, and resource consumption.
• Implement database security controls, encryption, access management, auditing, and compliance requirements.
• Automate operational activities using SQL, PL/SQL, Python, and shell scripting.
• Support application teams in database design reviews, tuning, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Provide 24x7 support for critical production databases and business services.
