Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases across development, testing, and production environments. You will monitor performance, tune SQL, and implement robust backup and recovery using RMAN.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of Oracle Data Guard, RAC, and high-availability configurations, plus shell scripting for automation and on-call support.

Formación

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise production environments.
• Strong experience in Oracle Database Administration and database maintenance.
• Proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
• Hands-on experience with RMAN backup and recovery.
• Experience with Oracle Data Guard, including standby database configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Oracle RAC and high-availability database environments.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Oracle database installation, patching, upgrades, and migrations.
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Experience with Shell scripting for database administration and automation.
• Strong understanding of database security, user management, roles, privileges, and access controls.
• Experience providing production support, incident resolution, and root cause analysis.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilidades

• Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain Oracle databases across development, testing, and production environments.
• Perform day-to-day database administration including schema and storage management, user administration, and configuration.
• Monitor database performance, availability, capacity, and system health.
• Tuning SQL and database performance, including execution plans and indexing.
• Develop, configure, and maintain backup and recovery strategies using RMAN.
• Support database recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.
• Administer Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and standby environments; manage migrations and patches.
• Implement and maintain database security, roles, privileges, and auditing.
