A leading manufacturing company in Tijuana seeks a candidate to support project management in cost reduction initiatives. You will collaborate on Lean projects and ensure project health regarding scope, time, quality, and cost. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in a similar role and a strong understanding of Lean principles and continuous improvement tools.

Formación

• 3 years in a similar position focused on project management and cost reduction.
• Experience working in a Lean environment with continuous improvement tools.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies like Agile, Scrum, or Kanban.

• Support the Opex Project Manager on cost reduction initiatives.
• Ensure project health for savings initiatives in scope, time, quality, and cost.
• Participate in Lean initiatives to eliminate waste and improve productivity.

Overview

Supports the Opex Project Manager in the health of the Cost Reduction program:

Responsibilities

• Follow-up with assigned areas on savings projects to ensure the project's health in terms of scope, time, quality, and cost.
• Collaborate in the generation of VAVE (Value Analysis, Value Engineering), Blitz, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement events.
• Support project leaders in costing savings projects such as labor, overhead, material, and freight.
• Support in completing savings metrics and reports as needed.
• Participate in the development, coordination and implementation of Lean initiatives (as required).
• Understanding of Value Streams processes and metrics, to detect opportunities for improvements.
• Process analysis: Operations time studies, Bottle neck elimination, Line Balancing.
• Lead the planning and execution of Rapid Improvement Events or Just Do-It to eliminate waste from processes resulting in improved productivity.
• Perform other functions as assigned.

Qualifications

• 3 years in similar position, project management, operational excellence, continuous improvement, cost reduction program, six sigma. Working in a Lean environment, implementing Lean principles and continuous improvement-based tools and techniques required (e.g. 5S, standardized work, Lean line concept, FIFO systems, Kanban system, supermarket system.
• Intermediate MS. Excel and Power Point.
• Project Management as AGILE, SCRUM, KANBAN, PMP.
• Business Intelligence: Power BI or similar.
• Lean Practitioner Desired
• Green Belt (Six Sigma) Desired
