Formación

• Coordinar con servicio al cliente para rastreo de envíos.

Your Role

As OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR – SUPERVISOR DE OPERACIONES: GDL, your role will be to:

The Ops Supervisor supports day-to-day cargo operations at Guadalajara Airport (GDL), ensuring compliance with DHL procedures, airport regulations, and IATA standards. The role includes supervising frontline staff, coordinating aircraft turnaround activities, and supporting inventory and cargo handling processes. The role also includes remote supervision of Monterrey Airport (MTY) staff, requiring regular travel from Guadalajara to Monterrey. This position requires basic experience in cargo airline operations and strong organizational and communication skills.

Your Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, you will perform the following duties:

Operations Supervision:

• Supervise daily cargo operations (Export/Import).
• Ensure timely handling of shipments and adherence to SOPs.
• Support ULD build-up and cargo preparation.
• Coordinate with Customer Service for shipment tracking and requirements.
• Monitor basic KPIs and report operational issues.

Inventory Management:

• Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting of airline inventory within the warehouse and ramp. Stock control.
• Implement best practices for ops supplies control to minimize losses and ensure efficient use of resources.

Cargo Handling:

• Oversee the handling of standard and special cargo, including dangerous goods, live animals, perishables, oversized shipments, etc.
• Ensure that all shipments are handled according to regulatory and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with all relevant staff to ensure smooth cargo handling.
• Support Customers and ACS with any operational requirement.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure the safe handling and transportation of all cargo.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards and DHL requirements.

Required Profile

• High School degree. Aviation Cargo experience field desirable.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in airline cargo operations or similar responsibilities, including team supervision and aircraft turnaround.
• Experience in supervising cargo operations in compliance with IATA standards and Mexican airport/customs regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Availability to work rotating shifts.
• Fluent in English and Spanish. Sufficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Desirable IATA Dangerous Goods Cat 6, Warehouse Build Up (Advance Level), Live Animals, TACT Rules.
• Ability to lead, inspire, and manage a diverse team.
• Strong focus on collaboration and fostering a team-oriented environment.
• Identify problems quickly and develop effective solutions.
• Skilled in resolving conflicts both within the team and with external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
