A leading global engineering group is seeking an engineer to manage part validation and documentation processes for vehicle families. The role involves coordinating with suppliers, creating functional testing documentation, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and relevant experience in the manufacturing industry.

Formación

Job Description
  1. Upload part numbers for assigned vehicle families into corporate data systems.
  2. Process documentation on changes or modifications to components from assigned vehicle families (Change Notices) according to instructions from the designated Product Engineer.
  3. Process work orders for laboratories/workshops based on tests defined by the Product Engineer within the validation plan.
  4. Request and submit purchase orders for prototype parts acquisition, external testing, etc., as required by the Product Engineer.
  5. Create documentation for component functional testing in assembly plants before implementation into normal production (Production Evaluation Request).
  6. Coordinate parts shipping between suppliers and assembly plants for Production Evaluation Requests.
  7. Release temporary or definitive approvals for part validation on assigned vehicle families (Interim Approval Authorization).
  8. Gather documentation related to analysis and resolution of functional and durability failures on components in assigned vehicle families (Customer Problem Resolution Team, Customer Advocate Group 'Tag' Quality Alert, E-CIMS, Expenses per unit sold per C/1000, Launch Indicators Issues).
  9. Lead release and approval of part development with suppliers according to the 'Source Package' process.
  10. Attend training and development plans to acquire necessary skills and knowledge to meet individual and team goals.
  11. Obtain product change information, implementation dates, technical bulletins, Product Engineering standards, bill of materials, and engineering graphs.
  12. Create and approve Tool Kick Off (TKO) requests for parts on assigned vehicle families.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electro-mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Environmental, Sustainability, Logistics) or Business Management.
  2. Preferred 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing industry and/or project management, or recent graduates with internship experience in manufacturing.
  3. Basic knowledge of automotive vehicles and systems, assembly, and manufacturing processes.
  4. Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management and Project Management.
  5. Good communication and presentation skills, with experience in software suites such as Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Minitab, etc.
