Job Objective: The Second Shift Operations Module Manager has the primary responsibility of leading and managing the night shift work teams, ensuring a positive, productive, and safe work environment. This position ensures compliance with production, quality, safety, and productivity standards to achieve the company's objectives. They must ensure the well-being of personnel, foster a teamwork culture, resolve conflicts effectively, and guarantee the motivation of personnel to achieve production goals without compromising quality or safety.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Personnel Management:
- Direct, motivate, and supervise second-shift personnel, ensuring that all employees follow procedures and maintain high levels of productivity and morale.
- Provide visible and accessible leadership for employees, serving as a positive role model in terms of teamwork, ethics, and commitment.
- Develop leadership skills in supervisors and group leaders.
- Work Environment Management:
- Implement strategies to maintain a healthy work environment, promoting open communication.
- In conjunction with the Human Resources department, conduct periodic employee satisfaction and well-being surveys to identify areas for improvement.
- Organize integration and motivation activities for second-shift personnel, fostering group cohesion.
- Conflict Resolution:
- Together with Human Resources, act as a mediator in conflict situations between employees.
- Implement constructive feedback mechanisms.
- Personnel Motivation and Retention:
- Develop and execute strategies to keep employees motivated and committed to their tasks and the company's vision..
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that all second-shift operations comply with the company's safety, quality, and environmental regulations, as well as local regulations.
- Reports and Coordination:
- Prepare periodic reports on production, incidents, and shift results for review by senior management.
Requirements:
- University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in supervisory or leadership positions in production environments, with a focus on personnel management and work environment.
- English proficiency
Supervisory Responsibility:
Directly supervises production coordinators and supervisors and indirectly supervisors and coordinators of support areas such as: warehouse, quality, security guards, medical service, engineering, building maintenance, among others. Indirectly supervises approximately 800 employees.
- Effective communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal relationship management skills.
- Decision-making, problem-solving, and effective leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of occupational safety and health.
- Availability to work night hours or extended shifts as needed.
Working Conditions:
- Work in a production plant, with exposure to industry-specific conditions.
- Night shift (second shift). Monday to Friday from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM.
