Operations Manager
What You’ll Do
- Manage a production manufacturing area, including support functions, ensuring work is performed safely and efficiently.
- Direct and coordinate activities of production departments, either personally or through managers and supervisors.
- Review production schedules to plan operations, ensuring product specifications and delivery dates are met.
- Develop and oversee operational schedules, coordinating manufacturing activities to meet quality standards.
- Analyze production reports, resolve operational issues, and minimize costs and delays.
- Develop or revise standard operating procedures and monitor compliance.
- Provide guidance to team members based on company policies and management directives.
- Interpret and implement policies affecting organizational units.
- Collaborate with managers and team members to achieve results, often leading functional activities.
- Act as an advisor on tasks, projects, and operations, intervening in daily operations when necessary.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, approving expenditures accordingly.
What Is Required
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 years of automotive industry experience
- Minimum 4 years in a similar managerial position
- Knowledge of processes, products, basic statistics, and organizational practices
- Understanding of customer requirements
- Strong communication skills
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented team player
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, both written and verbal
- Availability to travel
