Job summary

Dematic is seeking a Commissioning Engineer at a professional level to lead onsite commissioning of automation systems at customer sites, including conveyors and cross-belt sorters. The role requires strong technical ownership, independent problem solving, and close collaboration with Controls, Software, Electrical, Mechanical, Project Management, and customer teams.

Travel 90–100% to North America with occasional international travel; 5+ years in industrial automation and a Bachelor’s degree

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial automation and commissioning.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and system architecture.
• Strong problem-solving in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite commissioning of Dematic systems.
• Perform startup, testing, tuning and performance validation.
• Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, networks, sensors, and devices.
• Coordinate with project teams and customers.
• Document commissioning results and manage punch lists.
• Travel to customer sites across North America; occasional international travel.
