Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Mexico City is seeking an experienced Fastener Application Engineer to provide onsite technical support for fastener joint design, validation, testing, and issue resolution. The role requires strong knowledge of torque development, materials, coatings, and assembly processes.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in fastener engineering and the ability to interpret drawings and applicable standards, working independently on site with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in fastener engineering or related technical role.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite technical support for fastener joint design, validation, testing, and issue resolution.
• Conduct joint reviews and recommend fasteners, torque specs, tests, and design improvements.
• Develop validation methods including torque-to-failure and torque-angle tests.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
