Job summary

Acuity Inc. busca un profesional de salud ocupacional para gestionar el departamento médico de planta y asegurar atención médica adecuada y prevención de riesgos en el sitio de Monterrey. El candidato coordinará ~3 enfermeras y reportará al Sr.

EHS Manager, interactuando con autoridades y equipos internos de EHS, formación y desarrollo. Se requiere título médico vigente y 3–5 años en industrias de transformación/manufactura, experiencia en liderazgo y conocimiento de NOM-035/NOM-030.

Qualifications

• General Practitioner and/or Occupational Health Specialist (Valid medical degree/license and corresponding credentials).
• 3–5 years of experience working in transformation/manufacturing industries.
• Experience managing a company medical department.
• Experience leading people, either directly or indirectly.
• The position will coordinate approximately 3 nurses.
• Occupational health.
• Health and industrial hygiene regulations.
• Knowledge of NOM-035 and NOM-030.
• Ergonomics.
• ABL methodology.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Basic analysis and statistics.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventive medical consultations and first aid.
• Respond to medical emergencies within the company.
• Perform medical assessments, diagnoses, and provide treatment or prescriptions.
• Conduct periodic and pre-employment medical examinations.
• Follow up with employees with chronic conditions and during pregnancy.
• Provide guidance on general health and family health matters.
• Provide telephone support in emotional or crisis situations.
• Conduct home visits when required.
• Develop preventive actions related to workplace accidents and occupational illnesses.
• Coordinate and implement employee health promotion programs.
• Develop the annual health activities calendar.
• Participate in corporate health programs coordinated with other Acuity Mexico sites.
• Support EHS with accident and incident investigations.
• Develop occupational health training and materials together with EHS and Training/Development.
• Coordinate and implement NOM-035 and NOM-030 requirements.
• Manage legal health requirements applicable to the plant.
• Act as the company’s medical representative before relevant authorities.
• Follow up on the company’s health license.
• Prepare monthly management reports.
• Maintain health-related controls and metrics.
• Ensure 24-hour on-site medical coverage.
• Coordinate and supervise the activities of the medical department.

Job Summary

Promote and maintain the physical and mental well-being of employees, ensuring appropriate medical care at the plant, compliance with occupational health requirements, and the development of preventive health programs.

The position reports to the Sr. EHS Manager and interacts with employees, contractors, EHS, Training/Development teams, and government authorities such as IMSS, STPS, Health Authorities, and COEPRIS.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Medical Care

• Provide preventive medical consultations and first aid.
• Respond to medical emergencies within the company.
• Perform medical assessments, diagnoses, and provide treatment or prescriptions.
• Conduct periodic and pre-employment medical examinations.
• Follow up with employees with chronic conditions and during pregnancy.

• Develop preventive actions related to workplace accidents and occupational illnesses.

• Develop occupational health training and materials together with EHS and Training/Development.

Compliance & Regulations

• Coordinate and implement NOM-035-STPS requirements related to psychosocial risk factors.
• Coordinate and implement NOM-030-STPS requirements related to preventive occupational safety and health services.
• Manage legal health requirements applicable to the plant.
• Act as the company’s medical representative before relevant authorities.
• Follow up on the company’s health license.

Reporting & Administration

• Prepare monthly management reports.
• Maintain health-related controls and metrics, including: Incidents, Medical consultations, Emergencies and Health programs
• Ensure 24-hour on-site medical and/or nursing coverage.
• Coordinate and supervise the activities of the medical department.
