Molex is seeking an experienced design engineer to design, document and optimize plastic-assembly processes for connectors and headers. You will develop process sheets, work instructions and flowcharts, and define tools, fixtures and equipment for assembly, with a strong emphasis on quality and efficiency.

Join a team that applies Lean and Six Sigma, uses GD&T for drawings, and operates under IATF 16949 automotive standards.

Formación

  • Engineering degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Mechatronics.
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing.
  • Experience in assembly of plastic and metal components.
  • Interpretation of drawings and GD&T.
  • Line balancing and time studies.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
  • Automotive standards (IATF 16949).
  • Experience in CAD software.
  • Experience in vision systems (Cognex, Keyence, Vision Pro).

Responsabilidades

  • Design and document assembly processes (connectors and headers).

  • Define and validate tools, fixtures and equipment necessary for assembly.
  • Analyze and resolve quality issues using tools such as 8D, Ishikawa and FMEA
  • Ensure compliance with industrial safety and ergonomic standards.

Your Job

Design, implement, optimize and control the assembly processes of plastic products (connectors and headers), ensuring operational efficiency (SAU & POEE), product quality (Scrap, IQNs), compliance with technical specifications (AMEF, CP, PF) and cost reduction (M:M, POV).

What You Will Do
  • Design and document assembly processes (connectors and headers).
  • Develop process sheets, work instructions, and flowcharts.
