OmniOn Power seeks an NPI Material Planner to coordinate purchase orders, manage inventory, and expedite materials for new product introductions at our Matamoros, Tamaulipas facility. You will ensure timely material availability, monitor PO aging, and collaborate with project teams to align with schedules.

The role requires 3–5 years in purchasing or supply chain, a bachelor’s degree, proficient English, strong analytical skills, and experience with ERP systems.

Formación

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Purchasing, Materials Planning, or Supply Chain roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in administration, engineering, or related field.
  • Proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and proficiency in digital tools and technology.

Responsabilidades

  • Create purchase orders for suppliers to secure unique materials required for NPI builds.
  • Review open purchase order reports daily to ensure materials are ordered and delivered in alignment with project schedules.
  • Monitor and reduce blocked invoices, maintaining outstanding invoices at less than 30 days aging.
  • Collaborate with Project Cost Analysis teams at Headquarters.
  • Manage NPI inventory and ensure compliance with company inventory objectives and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate material status updates and communicate delivery schedules to Project Managers.
  • Coordinate the timely disposition of rejected materials and supplier documentation related to PRC/NPI projects.
  • Support the transition of unique materials from NPI projects into regular production processes.
  • Manage the disposition of stranded inventory and unique materials under NPI control.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders and logistics teams to ensure on-time material delivery.
  • Maintain accurate system data, including AB, LA, and other planning parameters, to ensure MRP functions effectively and information is properly communicated.
  • Manage purchase orders, including pull-ins, push-outs, cancellations, and supplier escalations.

Job Overview

The primary objective of this position is to coordinate, procure, and expedite materials required for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects to ensure customer requirements and project timelines are achieved. The role is responsible for managing the procurement, availability, and inventory of unique materials needed to support NPI builds.

This position reports directly to the Project Manager and is based at our Matamoros, Tamaulipas facility.

Key Responsibilities
As An NPI Material Planner, You Will

Basic Qualifications
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Purchasing, Materials Planning, or Supply Chain roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in administration, engineering, or related field.
  • Proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and proficiency in digital tools and technology.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset with strong initiative.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills when working with cross-functional and global teams.
  • Self-motivated team player capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Advanced PC skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
