Acuity Brands is seeking an NPI Engineer to lead the development and industrialization of new products for mass production. This role involves coordinating cross-functional activities and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and capacity standards. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, experience in electronic manufacturing, and strong leadership skills.

Formación

Job Summary

The NPI Engineer leads the development and industrialization of new products for mass production, following the company's Product Development System (PDS). This role manages product transfers from other facilities and coordinates cross-functional activities to ensure timely development that meets Safety, Quality, and Capacity standards.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

1. Coordinate all stages of product development with Design, Marketing, and Manufacturing departments.
2. Lead pilot builds and pre-production runs with the Manufacturing team.
3. Ensure adherence to Design for Excellence (DFX) and Manufacturing Guidelines (MFG).
4. Maintain and update documentation for each product release.
5. Identify and implement improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, or cost-effectiveness.

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Ingeniero en Electrónica) or related field.
• Previous experience in electronic manufacturing is highly desirable.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in NPI.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and negotiation.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
