A Day in Your Life at MKS:

The NPI (New Product Introduction)/ECO (Engineering Change Order) Procurement Manager based in Queretaro, Mexico will report to the Sr Manager of Procurement.

You Make an Impact By:
  • Manage the procurement NPI team at the Procurement Service Center (PSC) in Queretaro, Mexico to support project plans and production schedules, while working to eliminate any supply interruptions or delays at the MKS sites in North America.
  • Drive your team of supervisors and buyers to achieve daily/weekly/monthly procurement goals and metrics for NPI procurement & ECO management roles.
  • Utilize your supply base knowledge and MKS procurement strategies to minimize risk to supply with current suppliers or new suppliers being considered for NPI projects.
  • Manage the procurement NPI team to assure supply chain activities in coordination with the design engineering team and supply chain project management team to acquire material in a cost-effective and timely manner for development, prototype, and early production requirements.
  • Assist with new supplier sourcing and integration, including contributing to the qualification and development of new suppliers as part of a broader sourcing strategy.
  • Manage project transitions from development to sustaining production to assure delivery of materials to support project and production milestones.
  • Function as the escalation point in cross-functional and project review meetings as the lead of the NPI Procurement team.
  • Manage the ECO procurement team to support cross-functional teams within MKS on the planning, management, and timely implementation of engineering change requests and orders, including TDN’s and MCO’s, while considering inputs from procurement, sustaining, and NPI team members.
  • Oversee the administrative team in supporting non-production requirements and activities to support the local site in Queretaro, Mexico.
  • Travel to suppliers and other MKS facilities 10-20% of the time or as required.
Skills You Bring:
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish.
  • A valid Passport and US Visa.
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, supply chain management, logistics, or related field.
  • Experience managing a team with direct reports.
  • Proven experience with demand planning and materials management tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in ERP/MRP Systems, SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Office.
  • Advanced skills in Excel & PowerPoint.
  • A willingness and ability to influence and change the status quo.
