AMETEK, Inc. is seeking an NDT Technician to perform non-destructive testing on materials, components, and products in our Reynosa, Mexico facility. The role emphasizes quality, defect identification, and process compliance.

You will train others, maintain records, support continuous improvement, and collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality. A high school diploma and at least 3 years in manufacturing are preferred; familiarity with NDT methods and measurement equipment is required.

Formación

  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment or similar role.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to read diagrams, technical drawings, and process documentation.
  • Experience using measuring and test equipment.
  • NDT methods and techniques knowledge.
  • Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
  • Experience preparing technical reports and inspection documentation.
  • Root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collect, analyze and report data using computer applications.

Responsabilidades

  • Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) processes using method sheets, drawings, and applicable specifications as required.
  • Inspect materials and components to ensure product quality and process compliance.
  • Conduct process monitoring activities, including checklists, audits, and routine maintenance tasks.
  • Investigate root causes of defects and implement corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Train new and existing technicians on proper NDT procedures, techniques, and best practices.
  • Ensure the NDT area complies with all applicable specifications (e.g., PPS, WP, MS) and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation in accordance with quality standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve technical and quality-related issues.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

The NDT Technician performs Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections and evaluations on materials, components, and finished products in accordance with established procedures, specifications, and quality standards. This role is responsible for ensuring product quality, identifying defects, maintaining process compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) processes using method sheets, drawings, and applicable specifications as required.
  • Inspect materials and components to ensure product quality and process compliance.
  • Conduct process monitoring activities, including checklists, audits, and routine maintenance tasks.

Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or similar role.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret diagrams, technical drawings, and process documentation.
  • Experience using measuring and test equipment.
  • TIG welding knowledge is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods and techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in the use of inspection, testing, and measurement equipment.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control systems.
  • Ability to prepare technical reports and inspection documentation.
  • Experience identifying and analyzing defects in materials and components.
  • Knowledge of quality standards, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Basic root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and report data using computer applications.
  • Ability to interpret inspection results and provide recommendations for corrective actions and process improvements.
