Lead and support the introduction of new products into manufacturing processes, ensuring designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and aligned with quality and performance standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive successful product launches in the metal-mechanic industry.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and implement new product introduction (NPI) projects from concept to production.
- Evaluate manufacturability of new designs and propose improvements.
- Develop and validate production processes, tools, and fixtures.
- Collaborate with design, quality, supply chain, and production teams to meet project milestones.
- Conduct pilot runs and process validations (PPAP, FAI, etc.).
- Prepare documentation: work instructions, process flow diagrams, and PFMEAs.
- Monitor cost, quality, and timing for NPI projects.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to new product development.
- Creation of support BOMs for design, production, service, and new developments.
- Actively collaborate with related departments in the implementation of new developments, such as manufacturing, quality, purchasing, among others.
- Define design requirements for new and existing products according to manufacturing, marketing, and customer expectations and requirements.
- Identify and analyze design improvements to achieve cost reductions and meet technical requirements using internal and external resources.
- Develop new and innovative approaches to consistently solve technical problems.
- Select mechanical components based on design specifications and company standards.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in new product introduction or manufacturing engineering (preferably in metal-mechanical environments).
- Experience with metalworking processes (e.g., machining, welding, stamping, assembly).
- Knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
- Familiar with quality tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing and cost analysis.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- English proficiency (intermediate to advanced).
