Job summary

Leviton is seeking a New Product Introduction Engineer for our Camargo operation to lead multiple NPI projects from concept through launch in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

You will partner with Product Development, Quality, Manufacturing, and ERP teams to ensure on-time delivery, budget adherence, and robust process development. This role requires strong PM skills and bilingual English/Spanish communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical preferred, is required.
• Minimum 3 years as an Engineer and/or Project Manager in tech/manufacturing.
• Strong project management and leadership skills are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written English and Spanish communication.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams.
• Experience reading engineering drawings, BOMs, and routings; CAD experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from concept to launch.
• Coordinate product launches to meet timelines and budgets.
• Serve as liaison among Product Development, Quality, Manufacturing, Tooling, Fixtures, and Operations.

About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated New Product Introduction Engineer for our Camargo Operation to lead and manage multiple new product development projects from concept through manufacturing launch. This role is ideal for an engineering professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver successful product launches.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple New Product Introduction (NPI) projects simultaneously.
• Coordinate product launches while ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Act as the primary liaison between Product Development, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Tooling, Fixtures, Equipment, and Operations teams.
• Analyze manufacturing capabilities, production requirements, staffing needs, and project costs to support strategic decision-making.
• Develop and implement project strategies to achieve site objectives and production growth goals.
• Define project plans, schedules, resource allocation, and performance metrics.
• Monitor project execution and communicate status updates to all levels of management.
• Provide technical support throughout all project phases, including product development, process development, validation, and manufacturing transition.
• Manage equipment procurement, tooling development, BOM creation, contractor selection, and overall project resource coordination.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturing processes and project management standards.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Engineer and/or Project Manager in a technical or manufacturing environment.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and routing structures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred

• Experience with Oracle ERP systems.
• Background in Lean Manufacturing and Change Management.
• Experience in cross-functional product development and program management.
• Exposure to manufacturing process development and product launch activities.
