Una empresa líder en soluciones tecnológicas busca un Ingeniero de Producto en Matamoros. El candidato será responsable de implementar iniciativas de ingeniería, colaborar en la resolución de problemas de calidad y desarrollar conceptos de diseño. Se requiere una licenciatura en Ingeniería Mecánica y más de 4 años de experiencia en diseño y desarrollo de productos.

Formación

• Más de 4 años de experiencia en diseño, desarrollo de productos o I+D.
• Conocimiento académico y práctico de teorías de ingeniería, matemáticas y conceptos de ciencia física.
• Capacidad para realizar análisis de problemas complejos.

Responsabilidades

• Implementar iniciativas de ingeniería de productos de manera eficiente.
• Colaborar con todos los departamentos para resolver problemas relacionados con diseños y calidad.
• Desarrollar conceptos de diseño de productos y coordinar pruebas de verificación.

Descripción del empleo

What you will do?

• Implement product engineering initiatives efficiently, under corporate policies, procedures and specifications, to produce within the parameters of quality and target cost.

• Support production by assessing product engineering issues of diverse scope that arise on the production line.

• Collaborate with all departments of the plant to find the root cause and solution of problems related to design, quality, suppliers, product or process.

• Work with global design team to resolve design related issues.

• Assist in product launches and gathering information for the product development process.

• Propose, evaluate and implement product improvements.

How you will do it:

• Create detailed product functional specifications using inputs from sales, product management, and the voice of the customer.

• Determine timelines and budgets for completion of engineering tasks within the product development process.

• Develop product design concepts, lead prototype generation, and coordinate design and product verification testing.

• Evaluate and approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.

• Provide mentorship to new and/or less experienced co-workers.

What we look for:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• 4+ years’ experience in design, product development or R&D.

• Academic and experienced based understanding of fundamental engineering theories, mathematics, mechanics, and physical science concepts to the job.

• Ability to perform root cause analysis and corrective actions on difficult problems.

• Strong interpersonal skills and decision-making ability.

• Effective and professional communication with the ability to write reports and convey detailed technical information.

Preferred:

• Experience with a stage-gate product development process.

• Functional knowledge of process methods and tools such as DFMEA, DVP&R, DOE, risk analysis.

• Ability for occasional travel.
