nVent is seeking a Wireless Engineer to design, implement, and maintain wireless networks across its Cisco-based environment. You will handle network design, hardware/software configuration, security, and performance optimization while supporting SDWAN, switching, and data centers for over 120 global locations.
The role requires 5+ years with Cisco technologies, strong communication, and bilingual proficiency.

A Wireless Engineer designs, implements, and maintains wireless communication networks. This includes tasks like designing wireless network layouts, configuring hardware and software, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring network security and performance. They will be involved in developing new wireless technologies and optimizing existing ones.
The main focus of this position will relate to support, design and maintenance of the Cisco wireless environment, but other duties will include the routine maintenance and support of SDWAN, switching and data centers for nVent’s 120+ locations globally.
Designing and implementing wireless network infrastructures technologies.nVent Management Company primary uses Cisco hardware and software to support its network infrastructure. A deep familiarity in Cisco products beyond wireless will benefit the candidate in this position.
Configuring and managing Cisco network hardware (e.g., routers, switches, access points) and software (e.g., network management systems).
Diagnosing and resolving network issues, performing routine maintenance and firmware upgrades, and ensuring network stability and performance of nVent’s 120+ locations globally.
Implementing and maintaining security protocols to protect the wireless network from unauthorized access and threats.Follow nVent security protocols to maintain a secured wireless network.
Monitoring network performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to optimize speed and efficiency.Discuss wireless performance with business leadership to identify tactical and strategic direction for wireless technology.
Create documentation for network configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and performance reports.
Keeping up-to-date with the latest wireless technologies, trends, and security best practices.
