Amentum is seeking a Swimming Instructor to support a unique US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role includes operating and maintaining a large pool, conducting swimming lessons, and ensuring safety in accordance with Navy guidelines and local procedures.

The successful candidate will hold an approved Swimming Instructor certification, have at least 1 year of instructional or lifeguard experience, and maintain required safety and first aid training with annual recertification to ensure

Formación

• Certification as a Swimming Instructor through a recognized organization such as the American Red Cross or YMCA or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in swimming instruction or lifeguard services.
• Thorough understanding of swimming pool operations, safety protocols, and maintenance procedures.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to teach individuals of varying skill levels in a patient, professional manner.
• Must complete and maintain all required training and certifications, including Customer Service, CPR, AED, First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogen Training, HAZMAT communication, and Local Emergency Procedures, with annual recertification.

Responsabilidades

• Operate and maintain the swimming pool according to NAVMED P-5010-4, NAVSUPPFAC instructions, CNICINST 1710.3, and other Navy instructions.
• Ensure pool cleanliness, proper filtration, and water quality through regular monitoring and maintenance.
• Plan and conduct swimming lessons for individuals or groups of varying ages and skill levels.
• Monitor and supervise swimmers to prevent accidents and provide lifesaving interventions when necessary.
• Educate pool users on proper safety protocols and emergency procedures.
