Tecnológico de Monterrey in Monterrey Campus is seeking a Nanofabrication Specialist to support thin-film processing, microfabrication, nanofabrication, and device development by operating and maintaining fabrication infrastructure.

You will train students and researchers in lab equipment use, assist with sample prep and data interpretation, and contribute to documentation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of microscopy services.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Nanotechnology, Engineering, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in laboratories, fabrication, manufacturing, or related fields.
• English proficiency at least B2.

Responsabilidades

• Operate and maintain nanofabrication equipment with focus on sputtering, masking, and bonding.
• Train students, researchers, faculty, industry partners, and external users in lab equipment and services.
• Assist with sample preparation, experimental planning, image acquisition, and data interpretation.
• Develop and maintain procedures, service records, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, consumables management, and vendor interactions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of microscopy services and laboratory capabilities.

1. What will you do?

As a Nanofabrication Specialist, you will support thin-film processing, microfabrication, nanofabrication, and device development activities through the operation and maintenance of fabrication infrastructure.

2. How will you do it?

Your main responsibilities will include:

1. Equipment Operation

Operate and maintain nanofabrication equipment, with a focus on, but not limited to, the following: Sputtering System, Mask Aligner, and Wire Bonder.

2. User Support and Training

Train students, researchers, faculty, industry partners, and external users in the use of laboratory equipment and services.

3. Sample Preparation and Analysis

Assist with sample preparation, experimental planning, image acquisition, and data interpretation.

4. Documentation and Quality Control

Develop and maintain operating procedures, service records, and technical documentation.

5. Equipment Maintenance

Coordinate preventive maintenance, consumables management, and interactions with vendors.

6. Facility Development

Contribute to the continuous improvement of microscopy services and laboratory capabilities.

3. What are we looking for?

If you have a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Nanotechnology, Engineering, or a related discipline, with graduate studies preferred, and 1 to 3 years of experience working in laboratories, fabrication, manufacturing, or related fields, we want to hear from you.Experience with scientific instrumentation is desirable. We are also looking for candidates with organizational skills, a service-oriented mindset, analytical and critical-thinking skills, and English proficiency (minimum B2 level). We are looking for you
