Aptiv is seeking a North America Packaging Engineer to lead packaging from design to implementation within our Global Production Control & Logistics team. You will collaborate with Plant PC&L Managers, Regional Directors, and cross-functional teams to drive packaging optimization and cost improvements across our manufacturing network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Logistics, or related field.
• 5+ years in a business process role related to Supply Chain Operations, Manufacturing, and Logistics.
• Extensive knowledge of Supply Chain processes within Operations, Manufacturing and Logistics.
• Advanced knowledge of SAP and other relevant systems.
• Good English language skills.
• Experience in an automotive environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with a process-driven approach.
• Leadership and/or people management experience in a global team.
• Lean principles and Six Sigma knowledge preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and implement outbound packaging for new product launches
• Coordinate packaging development from design through implementation
• Release documentation and provide production-intent packaging for launches
• Participate in advanced material meetings to ensure optimal packaging solutions
• Support packaging activities for RFQs
• Packaging optimization & cost improvement initiatives
• Drive packaging optimization across the organization
• Improve returnable packaging flow and logistics costs
• Lead performance management of site teams to KPI forecasts
