Process Engineer Sustaining 4 Manufacturing (POST)
- Expert understanding of wave solder processes.
- Create/design wave soldering fixtures and wave solder profiles.
- Conformal coating process knowledge.
- PresFit process knowledge.
- Routers process knowledge.
- Create/design PCB depaneling routers fixtures.
- Create/design manual soldering fixtures.
- Responsible for defining, implementing, and controlling the production process in assigned areas, focusing on low volume/high mix production.
- Provide engineering support for New Product Introduction (NPI), including process and equipment validation, and first production unit build.
- Support generation and reporting of process metrics.
- Continuously improve process capability (Cpk), process efficiency, and OEE, while supporting quality, cost, delivery, and safety.
- Apply Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
- Lead and collaborate with technical personnel to support activities.
Develop, implement, and maintain methods, operation sequences, and processes for manufacturing parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies.
Coordinate with design engineering for new product releases.
Estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and recommend tooling and process requirements for new or existing products.
Maintain records and reporting systems for manufacturing operations.
Experience with SMT equipment (MPM, DEK, SPI, FUJI NXT, AOI, AXI, HELLER, BTU), including preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, process troubleshooting, and program debugging using PFMEA, 8D, 5S, Poka Yoke, Kaizen, analytical skills, teamwork, leadership, and responsibility.
Minimum 8 years of experience.
Qualifications:
- Mechatronics, Electronics, or Systems Engineering.
- Knowledge of Mechanics, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electricity, and Basic PLCs.
- Proficiency with CAD and engineering drawing tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools (5S, Poka-yoke, TPM).
- Knowledge of ISO/IATF standards (Process Map, PFMEA, SWS).
- Basic programming skills (C++, C#, Java).
- Use of measurement instruments.
- Ability to develop, configure, and optimize industrial processes from conception to commissioning.
- Experience in analyzing, evaluating, quoting, purchasing, and installing new equipment.
- Ability to plan and lead maintenance activities.
- Intermediate/Advanced English proficiency.
Optional Skills:
- Mechanical modeling and simulation in SolidWorks.
- LabVIEW.
- Automated welding processes.
- Supplier management.
