Job Summary

Procure all components necessary to support production or prototype builds. Responsibilities include obtaining the best possible pricing, lead time agreements, resolving quality issues, and managing delivery and inventory levels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Participate in decision making of MPS loading through proper materials sizing.
2. Analyze, maintain, and execute Materials Requirement Plan (MRP). Monitor and verify materials pipeline to ensure it meets MRP requirements. Address supply issues.
3. Ensure materials availability to support production per the Master Production Schedule through MRP execution, on-time delivery, and coordination of materials movement.
4. Eliminate materials liabilities by understanding ownership (supplier/customer). Track and provide data to define customer liable materials. Maximize negotiated terms with suppliers.
5. Issue Purchase Orders with negotiated pricing and terms. Ensure supplier adherence.
6. Optimize order management for effective communication with suppliers.
7. Maintain master data integrity to minimize liabilities and balance procurement costs with inventory levels.
8. Monitor and improve supplier delivery and quality performance. Address issues proactively.
9. Support Accounts Payable in resolving invoice discrepancies.
10. Contribute to Jabil’s commodity and pricing strategies, providing feedback on supplier performance.
11. Minimize freight expenses.
12. Monitor and report on supplier performance.
13. Follow all safety, health, and security procedures.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge Requirements

• Ability to perform calculations involving discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, and measurements.
• Apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
• Effectively communicate information to managers, clients, and the public.
• Define problems, analyze data, and draw conclusions.
• Operate a personal computer with Windows and related software.
• Proficient in PC skills and familiar with Jabil’s software.
• Write simple correspondence and understand visual aids.
• Follow simple instructions and handle standardized situations.
• Perform basic arithmetic and interpret graphs.
