Job summary

CREATIVE FOOD INGREDIENTS INC is seeking a flexible janitorial worker to maintain cleanliness in cafeterias, restrooms, locker rooms, laundry and offices. You will follow sanitation procedures, document compliance, and support production when needed.

The role requires multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team. Physical duties include lifting, standing, and routine cleaning tasks.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning duties across facilities including floors, sinks, restrooms, locker rooms, laundry and offices.
• Follow set sanitation procedures and document accordingly.
• May fill in for other sanitation personnel during vacations or absences.
• Assist in production when requested by supervisor.
• Be a member of Blood-Borne Pathogen team.

Job description

Position Overview:

Responsible for general cleaning and upkeep of cafeterias, all restrooms, locker rooms, laundry room, office area and any other areas as directed by supervisor.

Requirements

Essential Job Functions:

• General cleaning duties: This includes but is not limited to sweeping, mopping, washing, wiping off, hosing down, use of compressed air, vacuuming, and laundry.
• Ability to follow set sanitation procedures, schedules and document accordingly.
• May be required to fill in for other sanitation personnel due to vacations, absences, etc.
• May be required to assist in production whenever requested by supervisor.
• Will be required to be a member of Blood-Bourne Pathogen team.
• Ability to read instructions and follow all safety procedures/MSDS Sheets when working with cleaning chemicals.
• Other duties include; cleaning sinks throughout facility, collecting/dumping garbage from restrooms and offices, restocking soap and paper towel dispensers and weekly cleaning of wash pits.
• Weekly inspection of rodent traps
• Responsible for cleanliness of all areas of the kitchen and disposal of trash.
• Keeps storage shelves and stockrooms clean, organized with items properly stored and rotated when deliveries are made.

Non Essential Job Functions:

• Maintain a safe work environment and adheres to all company safety policies.
• Assist with various odd/end jobs as assigned by supervisor.
• Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor.
• Daily interaction with all departments within the company.
