Plexus Corp. in Mexico, Jalisco, Región Centro, seeks a Senior Industrial Engineer to lead capacity planning, layout optimization and production coordination to support quality and business needs.

You will drive Lean initiatives, standardize work methods, implement capacity models and time standards, and guide teams with a focus on productivity and cost efficiency while aligning with regional strategies.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related experience preferred.
• Proven leadership and management experience.
• Proficient with industrial engineering tools and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.

Responsabilidades

• Lead capacity modeling, planning tools, and time standards.
• Develop production layouts to optimize resource use and minimize waste.
• Standardize work methods and optimize process layouts to reduce waste.
• Drive productivity improvements via major programs in product flow and value stream mapping.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, WIs, SFTs and develop technical practices.

Purpose Statement: Lead productivity and operational focused resources that ensure manufacturing layouts, capacity, and plant facilitation to enable execution to business and quality needs. Demonstrate an understanding of the interplay between human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis and production coordination. Lead overall strategy for site Industrial Engineering aligned with Regional and Global Industrial Engineering Strategy.

Key Job Accountabilities

• Lead creation and enhancement of capacity modeling, capacity planning tools and time standards. Develop and implement production layout strategies that optimize resource utilization, minimize waste, and ensure efficient workflow.
• Lead standardization of work methods for manufacturing process solutions and optimization of parameters for streamlining of sequences, layouts, and process steps to reduce waste.
• Drive initiatives for productivity improvement by identifying areas of improvement and implementing appropriate strategies and processes. Implement major improvement programs in areas of product flow, injury prevention, value stream mapping, and Industrial Engineering best practices.
• Implement and drive Industrial Engineering metrics and standardization in line with SOPs, WIs, and SFTs. Lead the development of technical compliance, assessment and development practices in accordance with existing SOPs, WIs, SFTs, etc.
• Responsible to exemplify and hold their team accountable to demonstrating the Plexus Core Values. Leader will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning, and ensuring their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.

Education/Experience Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5 or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
• Proven leadership skills and management experience.
• Proficient in the use of industrial engineering tools, techniques, with experience in Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
