TE Connectivity invites an MFG & PROCESS DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER I to lead the design, planning and implementation of new high-speed cable manufacturing projects in Hermosillo, Sonora. You will work cross-functionally with design, quality, production and supply chain teams to ensure a smooth transition from development to high-volume production.

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's MFG & PROCESS DEVELPMENT ENGINEER I is responsible for leading the design, planning and implementation, of new high-speed cable manufacturing projects. This role involves hands-on participation in production line debugging, pilot builds, and process validation. This role works closely with design, quality, production, and supply chain teams to ensure a smooth transition from development to high-volume production, while meeting manufacturability, quality, and cost targets. this role is responsible for defining and executing the manufacturing strategy for new High-Speed Cable (HSC) products, ensuring process scalability, reliability, and alignment with product performance requirements.

Job Requirements

• Gathering data used to quantify production efficiency, safety measure effectiveness and resource usage.
• Researching methods for improving a product's quality and ensuring quality control in products.
• Evaluating manufacturing equipment to identify upgrades that will potentially increase the efficiency or quality of manufacturing processes.
• Identifying and documents potential inefficiencies and obsolete processes, technology and equipment.

What your background should look like

• Bachelor's degree in industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• +1 year of experience in process engineering, preferably in electronics, medical devices, or automotive manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience in NPI projects and process validation.
• knowledge of quality tools (FMEA, SPC, DOE, Lean, Six Sigma).
• Proficiency in CAD software and ERP/MES systems.
• Intermediate to advanced technical English proficiency.
