Job summary

PayJoy, Inc. is seeking a Country Controller for its Mexico operations to lead all accounting, financial reporting, compliance and internal control activities in line with local statutory requirements and US corporate reporting standards.

The role serves as the primary finance lead for Mexico and liaises with global accounting and leadership to ensure accurate reporting, strong governance, and scalable processes for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required
• CPA/CA/ACCA or equivalent certification is required
• 8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience with US GAAP and local GAAP, external audits preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead local accounting operations, GL management, reconciliations, and close processes.
• Ensure timely financial reporting per local GAAP and US GAAP.
• Prepare statutory statements, regulatory filings, and local compliance reports.
• Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and regulators.
• Oversee corporate income tax, VAT/GST, withholding taxes, and filings.
• Maintain internal controls and accounting policies aligned with corporate standards.
• Collaborate with Corporate Controller for policy alignment and consolidation.
• Support monthly/quarterly close, variance analysis, and reporting packages.
• Develop scalable accounting processes to support regional growth.
