Reuters is seeking a Bureau Chief in Mexico to deliver agenda-setting journalism and manage a team of beat reporters in Mexico City with a network across Central America and the Caribbean. Based in CDMX, you will set editorial priorities, mentor reporters, and shepherd high-impact, exclusive stories while ensuring accuracy, safety and strategic alignment with global goals in a multimedia newsroom.

Fluency in English and Spanish, leadership experience, and a track record of enterprise reporting

• Proven leadership of beat reporters and newsroom teams.
• Strong news judgment and audience insight.
• Experience in fast-moving breaking news and enterprise reporting.
• Advanced English; fluent Spanish; Mexico politics knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Set editorial priorities and strategy for the Mexico bureau.
• Oversee a team of beat reporters and stringers across Central America and the Caribbean.
• Drive original, in-depth coverage and exclusive investigations.
• Provide editorial oversight and mentoring, editing as needed.
• Collaborate across desks to enable multimedia storytelling.
